Excellent, thanks! After the gig we even had a percussion and synth session in our studio in the dead of night. Hardest working band in the business?
Next one will be in Helsinki.

After an intense percussion session on the House of Rock night quite a lot has happened – bass tracks, synths, strings, more guitars etc.
On Wednesday Markus did vocals on Jemina and started working with Cold Day Blues. Friday the Blues lead vocals were completed, Mood to move and Miracle got vocals too. And lastly but not leastly song called Long Train was rescued by adding an acoustic guitar on it and then adding a lead vocal there. I think we’re on to something here.
Saturday night we did some more vocals and on early sunday morning Anni orchestrated some beautiful backing vocals on Long Train and Country Wives (aka We’re on our own).
House of Rock. What a splendid night ‘t was! Thanks everybody! Thanks Death Hawks!
We gave an old song Miracle (from Return of the Lost Horse sessions) one more chance to prove it’s worth.
Base track with brushed drums and a baritone guitar was tracked (with guide vocals by Mane). A bit smoother approach.
Even older song Devil in me may be added to list as well. We think we’ll work out the old base track found.
Marcel Proust tracked. Drums, guitar and a keyboard tracks with a guideline vocals.
A take on Rober Parker song Barefootin’. The whole damn thing on tape, legendary harpist, Timmy The Dog dropped by, “Third Position , babe!”
Something like ten songs base tracks recorded in three sessions. Why make new mistakes when you can repeat the old ones? All the guys present, able and willing.
Song list this far
Then we made a demo version of a new song by Pasmo titled as Marcel Proust. Then a sinister, extremely prolonged disco version of Black Future.
And an acoustic version of Can’t take my Blues away (that was ditched right away). Oh yes, a session of old rockabilly and rock’n roll songs - never to be released.
Barefoot Brothers will go back to studio next week. Country, western? I think we have a few songs to cut. Maybe something will leak out?
Two cool gigs happened recently, another one with a full line up at Jättömaa 2011 festival on 24th July and another at Jyräski last Saturday. The latter may be be the first gig ever without Chester who had another duties with Pasmo.
I’ve heard that Vilunki, Pepe, Mane and Jussi really nailed it.
By the way, here’s a movie from this excellent festival.
